We are currently seeking a full-time, on-site PHP programmer to join our team in Surat, Gujarat. Duties would primarily consist of developing new projects built using PHP-based frameworks/platforms, writing custom code, and architecting new solutions for prospective clients. Applicants will be expected to provide examples of work, if available, and may be asked to complete a coding challenge.

Basic Requirements

Minimum of 1+ years PHP web development experience
Expert with PHP object-oriented programming & MVC applications
Competent with SQL-based database concepts
Familiarity with automated deployment strategies
Solutions-oriented thinking; always looking for the smart solution to a problem rather than jumping at the first answer
A preoccupation with staying on top of industry trends and technologies

Proven Skills & Technical Requirements

Expert analytical and problem solving skills
Experience with a variety of platforms & frameworks such as: Wordpress, Magento, Core PHP, Laravel, CodeIgniter
Competent knowledge of Linux-based systems administration
Competent in authoring JavaScript and using libraries such as jQuery
Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP)
Familiarity with various testing methodologies
A desire to be personally responsible for production-level code
Ingenuity to leverage all available tools at your disposal

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with other languages such as Go, Python, or Ruby
Experience with a variety of database platforms like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, etc. is a huge plus
Experience with caching and scaling techniques
Experience with CSS preprocessors like SASS/LESS
Experience with Zurb Foundation
Contributions to the open-source community
